How does booking work?
Pick a date, request the booking, and pay by card. Payment confirms it instantly — no waiting for the provider to accept. You'll get a confirmation email with your voucher, and the provider's contact details unlock at the same moment.
Who am I paying — the guide or the platform?
North Macedonia Tours collects the payment and holds it. Providers are paid monthly, after the service. That's your protection: if something booked here materially fails, our staff steps in and makes it right.
Why can't I see the provider's phone number before paying?
Contact details on both sides unlock when a booking is paid. Until then, all communication happens on the platform. This keeps the marketplace honest and lets us guarantee every booking that goes through it.
Can I cancel? What do I get back?
Unpaid requests can be cancelled anytime (they also expire on their own after 48 hours). Paid bookings: full refund as the baseline 7+ days before, 50% at 3–7 days, none under 72 hours — but a person on our staff reviews every case, and rescheduling is always tried first. What currency do I pay in?
Prices are in EUR (with an approximate MKD equivalent shown). Your card is charged in EUR.
Is my booking valid without a printout?
Yes. Your booking page has a QR voucher — show it on your phone. Anyone can scan it to verify the booking is genuine, without seeing your personal details.
How do I know the guides are legitimate?
Every guide, agency, and driver applies, is reviewed by our team, and gets a dedicated platform contact who stays responsible for them. Reviews come only from travellers with completed bookings — nobody can fake them.
The weather turned bad — what happens?
For events nobody controls (dangerous weather, road closures), the default is a free reschedule; if that's impossible, staff arranges a refund.
I'm a guide / agency / driver — how do I join?
Apply here with your experience, languages, and cities. Our team reviews every application; once approved you get a dedicated platform contact, publish listings (each is reviewed before going live), and manage bookings, availability, and earnings from your dashboard.
What does the platform charge partners?
A percentage of each booking — kept deliberately below the 20–30% the big international platforms take. It funds our staff, marketing, and the booking guarantee. You see exactly what you earn on every booking before it's confirmed.
When do partners get paid?
Monthly. Completed bookings are bundled into a payout run and transferred to your bank account (add your IBAN in your profile). You can track every cent in the Earnings tab.
A client claims something that isn't true — am I protected?
Yes — this platform is built employees-first. Claims are investigated by staff before anything happens; false or exaggerated claims are rejected and repeat offenders lose their accounts. You can also contest reviews, which stop counting toward your rating while staff investigates.
