Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of northmacedoniatours.com ("NMT", "the platform", "we"). By creating an account or making a booking you agree to them. NMT is a booking platform that connects travellers with independently operating, verified tour guides, tour agencies, and drivers ("partners") across North Macedonia.
1. The role of NMT
NMT operates the marketplace, verifies partners, collects payments, provides in-platform messaging and support, and guarantees the quality of bookings made through the platform. Tours and transport services are performed by partners. When you book, a service contract is formed between you and the partner, with NMT acting as the commercial agent that collects payment on the partner's behalf.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential.
- Traveller accounts require a verified email address.
- Partner accounts (guide, agency, driver) require an application reviewed and approved by NMT staff. Every approved partner is assigned a dedicated platform contact.
- We may suspend accounts that violate these terms, after investigation by our staff.
3. Bookings & payment
- All payments are made to NMT. We hold the funds and pay partners on a monthly cycle.
- A booking is confirmed only when payment completes. Unpaid requests expire after 48 hours.
- Contact details are exchanged between traveller and partner only after payment — all pre-payment communication happens on the platform. Attempting to move a booking off-platform to avoid this is a violation of these terms for both sides.
- Prices are shown in EUR and include the platform's service fee.
4. Cancellations, refunds & disputes
Cancellation and refund rules are described in our Refund Policy. In short: unpaid requests can be cancelled freely; paid bookings that either side wants to cancel become disputes that our staff investigates and resolves. We never apply automatic penalties — every claim is reviewed by a person before any money moves or any account is affected.
5. Fair treatment of partners
NMT operates employee-first: our partners are verified professionals, and we protect their time and reputation. False claims, review abuse, no-shows, and harassment toward partners lead to account action against the traveller, not the partner. Reviews can be contested by partners and are excluded from ratings while our staff investigates.
6. Reviews
- Only travellers with a completed booking can review it — one review per booking.
- Reviews must reflect a genuine experience; fake or retaliatory reviews are removed.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use the platform to send spam, harvest data, upload unlawful content, circumvent payment, or impersonate others. Listings must be accurate — a partner's platform contact reviews every listing before it goes live.
8. Liability
Partners are responsible for delivering their services safely and as described, including holding any licenses their activity requires. NMT's guarantee covers the booking experience: if a service booked through the platform materially fails and our investigation confirms it, we make it right through refund or rebooking. NMT is not liable for indirect damages, or for events outside anyone's reasonable control (weather, road closures, force majeure) — though partners and staff will always help you reschedule.
9. Changes
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Material changes are announced on the platform; continued use after a change means acceptance.
